The specifications on the request for quotation included AWS code welding, a full scale performance test, a sound test, pressure testing of the housing and J.I.S. flanges.  HDA Fans was the only bidder who took no exceptions.

Job# 8509

Twin 79-1/2" diameter fans of very heavy construction.  The impeller back plate was 1/2" and the blades were 1/4" thick.  The entire pedestal was made of 1/2" plate.  AWS code welding and inspection added to the quality assurance of these units.  56,000 cfm at 11" static pressure at 400°F. Final assembly included vibration and temperature detectors plus a G2.5 precision balance. These fans comply with the rigid specifications of API, American Petroleum Industry.
