Standard Class IV Backward Inclined wheels were lasting about 3 months in severe cyclical service, with tip speeds repeatedly winding up to 21,000 FPM and down to zero.  The fans are being used for high pressure blow-off in car washes and only run as cars pass through the blow-off area.  HDA Fans provided special, heavy duty wheels to be retrofit into the existing housings.  High strength steels and construction customized to the duty produced wheels which stand up to this demanding service.
